Our next appointment was today. We have monthly appointments for the next few months at which point it will switch to bi-weekly appointments, and then weekly appointments. We got to hear Snicker’s heartbeat again and we recorded it. I will attempt to find a microphone and load it on the website soon. 🙂 Snickers was moving around a lot while we were listening so “it’s” very active, it seems! The same nurse said it was 160 beats per minute but I still have to question her counting ability from last time! heehee – I have been thinking I have been feeling some type of movement every few days but I am just waiting for some big kicks to start. Can’t wait to feel that. 🙂
We had a small issue with taking my blood for the AFP test (testing for spina bifida, down syndrome, and other items) but luckily the nurse was able to find my veins without causing to much bruising. 🙁
As for calling the baby ‘Snickers’, I have decided to attempt to call it various ‘candy’ names for the duration of the PG. 🙂 “Little Bean” or “Peanut” or “Baby” doesn’t sound right to me. Since we won’t be finding out, I can’t call “it’ by a name either… If anyone comes up with some good candy names, let me know!
Snickers Bar, Kit Kat, Sweet Tart, Cupcake, Skittle…
And the list goes on…
We get our Ultrasound on July 19, 2005. We won’t be finding out but it will be sure nice to have a picture and figure out that I actually AM growing something inside me.
