Sammy had her two week check-up at the Doctor’s office today. She was 7 lbs and 11 oz!!! Holy cow, she gained 11ozs since December 14th (she was 7lbs at that Dr. checkup)! Babies are supposed to be at their birth weight at their two week check-up (since after birth they typically lose 10% of their weight) and she definitely surpassed that. The Doc pronounced her ‘very healthy’. She is also 20 3/4 inches long so she is growing out as well.
Maybe the reason she is growing so much because she is EATING a ton of food. 🙂 Sam takes after her Momma. She fed this morning from 9:30am – 1:30pm and would NOT stop. If we stopped, she started crying. That was so much fun. (Not!) When Daddy got home, she got passed off to him so fast. Luckily, he has the magic touch and she stopped having a huge hunger craving. The Doctor said to feel free and not feed her if she wants to nibble all day and instead stick to a schedule. Her cry is really sad sounding though! Hopefully we won’t go through that again.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! We already went shopping for Sam and can’t wait to open presents with her on Christmas Day. What a perfect present she is for us. We are so in love with our precious baby girl.
